Cookies

This website uses cookies designed to improve the experience of our users.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto your computer or smartphone when you visit a website.  It allows the website to recognise your device and store some information about your preferences or past actions.  We use two different types of cookies on this website; session cookies and analytical cookies.

Session Cookies

These are used by Silverstripe (our Content Management System) to help manage your journey through our sites.  These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how a website works.

Analytical Cookies

These are provided by Google as part of their Google Analytics system. These cookies help our website owners see traffic coming to our sites in order to improve the visitor experience. Google Analytics doesn’t store any personal information about you. You can find an explanation of these cookies and what they are used for on the Google developers website.

For further information visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

Under the Data Protection Act we have a legal duty to protect any personal information we collect from you. We do not pass on your details to any third party or government department unless you give us permission to do so or the law requires/permits it. We are committed to respecting your privacy.

We have structured our website so that, in general, you can visit it without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. Once you choose to provide us with any information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used for the purpose for which it was originally collected or compatible purposes.

Please be advised that any information, unless stated otherwise, will be sent to us via the open internet and is therefore not secure during transmission to us. This is because your information may pass from your contact PC to an internet service provider and then via other providers to us, much in the same way as most email correspondence.

Our website contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices within any of these other sites. We encourage you to be aware of this when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements on other websites you visit which collect personally identifiable information.
