Plant Sale and Table Top Trail Sale Saturday 11 May 2019 12-4pm

Around 20 tables pitched throughout the village selling pre-loved items. Plants for sale in the Church, lunches, teas and refreshments in the Village Hall. Pitch fees and profits from refreshments to St Mary's Church, Kersey

Wednesday 29th May at 7pm A talk on Constable and his masterpiece ’The Leaping Horse’ by Richard Humphrey’s former Art Curator at the Tate Gallery and author of the same title book. The painting was describe by Lucent Freud as the ‘Greatest painting in the world’ and Richard explains why with a fascinating illustrated presentation. Richard will be doing a book signing too.

Tickets £10. Venue, Kersey Church. Licensed Bar.

Saturday 8th June 6.30pm to 9pm We are delighted to have Hexachordia back in Kersey. The trio will play ‘Alll in a Garden Green’ a celebration of the English Garden in music, song and words. Playing on Authentic copies of original instruments from the Medieval and Tudor periods, such as the Harp, gittern, lutes and viols the group performs music inspired by formal gardens and the English Countryside.
Tickets £15 including a glass of wine. venue Kersey Church. Licensed bar.

Friday 26th July, 7pm till 11pm Hadleigh Jazz Club presents ’Swinging’ for St Mary’s’, a Jazz and Creole night. Food is included in the ticket price and will be pulled pork creole wraps and assorted sides, listening to the ‘Chris Ingham Trio’. ( Owen Morgan (Bass), & George Double (Drums). Described by the Evening Standard as ‘one of Britain’s best singer pianists’ Ronnie Scott’s regular Chris Ingham brings his trio to Kersey for an evening rich in swing and anecdote, delving through his critically acclaimed retrospective of Dudley Moore, Hoagy Carmichael, Mose Allison and more….

Saturday November 16th 7pm to 11pm Hadleigh Jazz Club presents ‘The Nigel Price Trio’. Formerly of the James Taylor Quartet, Nigel Price is the world-class shining star of British groove guitar recalling the masters Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Pat Martino and early George Benson with an expertly blended, hugely exciting brand of hard-bop and soul-jazz. The evening, Jazz & Jackets will include a selection of crispy winter Baked ‘Jackets’ with assorted toppings and full licensed bar.
